Businesses want to build culture that feels authentic. A book club is rarely just about the book. It’s a way into conversations where people speak on equal terms.
Literary programming is a way to strengthen connections across teams and create a community employees want to be part of.

‘Pony, our wonderful host, encouraged thoughtful discussion, ensuring every member had a chance to speak, and she always had interesting suggestions for what to read next. I’ve discovered authors I’ve really enjoyed, plus a whole new community of book lovers and friendship’
Rosie Benson, Senior Media & PR Officer,
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

Members’ clubs
A shared read creates space to mingle without social pressure or small talk. It brings together people who might not usually cross paths, and gives them a reason to keep talking.
I design monthly salons that help members feel they belong to the club, not just use it.
‘Pony was the ideal host.
We had some great debates!’

Writer in residence
This can include internal book clubs, writing and storytelling workshops, curated recommendations, and literary input into communications or culture-building work.
No two residencies are the same. They are shaped around the organisation and what it is trying to build.

‘Pony told me one thing about my manuscript I’d been circling for two years without realising. She’s got tips I use every day. She made it so fun I didn’t notice just how much progress we were making’

Retreats & travel
Fiction is about escapism, and so is travel.
For readers, literary retreats are a chance to step inside the world of a book: discussing scenes over dinner, exploring a landscape they loved on the page and finding community through a shared read.
For writers, it could be where their idea became a manuscript.
‘It was the type of gloriously undemanding and inspiring event where I left feeling energised rather than drained. Pony helped me discover a language and a way to speak about books that not only allowed me to have fascinating conversations with others but also helped me frame what I read with a new and deeper lens’
Ailish McLaughlin, Head of Solutions, UnlikelyAI
‘The book club Pony leads is so great I block it out in advance calendar wise, and where possible book holidays and trips around it to not miss a session. Pony makes it an incredibly welcoming and supportive space. The books are always on trend, valuable and great conversation starters’
